In collaboration with the EU Maltese presidency, the MEP Water Group convened a successful public session on 'Water Reuse – an effective tool to address water scarcity' on the 7th of March at the European Parliament. The session was chaired by Esther de Lange, President of the MEP Water Group and hosted five high-level panellists, who presented their own perspectives on why water-reuse is a valuable solution to address water scarcity, adaptation to climate change and implement circular economy. With Malta being the EU member state with the lowest rate of water availability and highest population density rate, Mr Azzopardi, from the office of the Malta Prime Minister and CEO of the Energy and Water Agency stressed out that water reuse, is nowadays a necessary and a key element in Malta's 2nd River Basin Management Plan (RBMP). SAVE THE DATE: Webinar “Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions for Middle East research and innovation community” on 15 February 2017

Enhanced bi-regional STI cooperation between the EU and the Middle East Region. The Marie Sklodowska-Curie action (MSCA): Individual Fellowship, named after the double Nobel Prize winning Polish-French scientist famed for her work on radioactivity, support experienced researchers (holding a doctoral degree or with at least four years’ full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline) in their careers, irrespective of nationality. Researchers working across all disciplines from climate change to health are eligible for the funding. The MSCA Individual Fellowship provides generous funding, scientists have the possibility to gain experience abroad and in the private sector, and to complete their training with competences or disciplines useful for their careers. We would like to draw your attention to the public stakeholder consultationthat the European Commission has recently launched and which will feed into the interim evaluation of Horizon 2020. This interim evaluation will help improve the functioning of Horizon 2020 and will also be an important element in preparations of a next EU research and innovation programme. Stakeholders, including those from non-EU countries, are encouraged to participate to the public stakeholder consultation, which will be open until 15 January 2017.

Following the 1st coaching session that was successfully conducted on 1-2 June 2016, Europe for Business Ltd is happy to announce about the 2nd coaching session targeted to the Middle East researchers and experts from the H2020 MERID project members of consortia on 11-12 July 2016.  A representative from Europe for Business Ltd Leonardo Piccinetti will conduct a face-to-face coaching sessions that will last for 30 minutes time slot individually for each researcher or expert. SAVE THE DATE: LIFE ADNATUR project final event

Europe for Business Ltd would like to draw your attention to LIFE ADNATUR project final event that will be held on 15 September 2016 in ENEA - EU Liason Office (Rue de Namur, 72-74 - 1000 Bruxelles).  The principal aim of LIFE ADNATUR project has been the assessment, demonstration and validation of the efficacy of a new innovative and environmentally friendly technology, based on natural products. The developed natural based coagulants were tested for the primary treatment of wastewaters, at urban and industrial level. The experiences carried out during the project progress, the main resulted achieved and the promoted activities will be reported and discussed during the final event. Moreover, the participation of specialist scientists and field operators will enhance the programme. Insights from the MERID Regional Event 2016
