EFB ATTENDED THE “WATER KNOWLEDGE EUROPE 2017”

On 29th-30th November of this year, the Director General of Europe For Business Ltd. (EFB), Dr. Leonardo Piccinetti, participated in the 2017 edition of the annual H2020 Brokerage event organized by WssTP (Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform), titled “Water Knowledge Europe 2017” and held in Brussels, Belgium.

The event had more than 170 participants, who delved into the new calls for EU funding in the water sector, got ideas on innovative projects and were related to each other through the exchange of ideas and opinions in order to narrow ties that seek future partnerships with organizations of proven experience.

During the event, high level representatives of EASME (The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), shared with the participants a series of important tips and practices related to the preparation of future proposals framed within the new calls in the sector of water contained in WP 2018-2019 of the H2020 financing program, as well as the LIFE program, which were analyzed in detail.

Next, a session was held in which the participants (involved in the EU water sector) presented their ideas of potential projects and their strategies in the implementation of these, allowing feedback among the attendees; subsequently, a session was held to search for partners and to build consortia of excellence using the “B2B” market method, estimating that approximately 200 “B2B” meetings were held during the meeting. The journey concluded with a working dinner, which allowed the participants to continue the exchange of ideas and the strengthening of business ties in the light of future and interesting societies.

The participation of EFB in the “Water Knowledge Europe 2017” of WssTP (Water Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform), allowed to expand, even more, our network of contacts with organizations with high experience in the water sector and our radius of action.

In addition, we had the opportunity to disseminate, by the participants, the different activities and results that are being obtained in the WaterClima-LAC project, Coastal Zone Management.
