EFB takes part in MERFISH kick-off meeting

Europe for Business Director, Leonardo Piccinetti, joined nine partners from Europe, Mauritius, and Brazil for the MERFISH project kick-off meeting, funded under the H2020-MSCA-RISE program to tackle our understanding of mercury-selenium interactions from fish to humans.

The MERFISH initiative brings together experts from multidisciplinary research and non-academic sectors, with a long-term objective of improving our understanding of Hg metabolic pathways in living organisms, paying special attention to the Hg detoxification role of Se. Speaking at the virtual meeting, MERFISH Project Coordinator, Mrs Zoyne Pedrero from the Centre National de la Recherche Scientific (CNRS) welcomed partners to this exciting new initiative, in which Europe for Business will be planning and leading the MERFISH Communication and Dissemination Strategy. Commenting on their role, Mr. Leonardo Piccinetti stated: “EFB will implement a dynamic, impactful strategy to benefit MERFISH stakeholders beyond the project life cycle”.
